October 26, 2023, RESTON, Va. CACI International Inc (NYSE: CACI) has secured a four-year single-award contract from NASA’s Johnson Space Center (JSC), worth up to $150 million. This indefinite delivery indefinite quantity expertise contract emphasizes CACI’s commitment to advancing spaceflight systems, simulation, and software development. The project entails advanced aerospace engineering solutions for crewed spacecraft, the creation of simulation and Virtual Reality (VR) applications, and the provision of software in support of human space flight missions. The tasks outlined in the contract will be carried out predominantly in Houston, under the supervision of JSC’s Engineering Directorate. Key areas of work include the Software, Robotics, and Simulation Division. CACI’s responsibilities encompass providing aerospace systems engineering and analysis across multiple spacecraft systems domains, such as robotics, dynamics, guidance, navigation, control, avionics, and power systems. They will also be involved in developing software applications for in-flight systems, high-fidelity modeling, simulation, and utilizing VR graphics to replicate spacecraft and space conditions for engineering analyses and astronaut extravehicular training sessions.
