Singapore, September 7, 2023 – In a significant move that promises to enhance sensor-to-satellite connectivity, Singapore-based NuSpace Pte. Ltd. has successfully launched its Internet of Things (IoT) satellite, NuLIoN. The mission features a state-of-the-art deployable helical antenna provided by Oxford Space Systems, a UK-based space technology business.
Bridging the Connectivity Gap
NuSpace aims to address the connectivity gap in underserved regions of Southeast Asia by offering low-power, low-data rate, direct-to-satellite communication services. By leveraging the proven LoRaWAN Protocol, the company is set to empower the deployment of remote sensors on a large scale. “This mission represents a significant first step in bridging the connectivity gap, particularly in the promising Southeast Asian market,” said Zhen Ning Ng, CEO of NuSpace.
